Pivotal Energy makes a splash with a new partnership to bring clean water to deprived countries.

Earlier this week, Managing Director, Robin Norton and Graphics & Media Developer, Finn Moore travelled up to Derbyshire to meet the friendly volunteers at Aquabox

With our newly established 'Green Team', we wanted to find a good charity partner that aligns well with the work we do on the daily.

They were privileged to see how Aquabox function and the hard work that goes in to their charity.

In a bid to pump us towards a better global sustainability, Aquabox completes hard work in poor and devastated communities.

Having recently donated towards AquaFilters to help 12 families, we have also committed to donate £5 for every water service connection we complete each year as clean water is essential for healthy lives both in the UK and worldwide.

Alongside this, our staff will be contributing their annual day in the community to volunteer at the charity, and we will also welcome Aquabox into our headquarters for a demonstration.

About Aquabox:

Aquabox is a charity that provides water filtration systems to communities in need.

Their water filters can remove harmful bacteria, viruses, and parasites from contaminated water sources, making it safe for drinking and cooking.

Since its founding in 1992, Aquabox has helped over 3 million people in more than 50 different locations across the world gain access to clean water.

They provide safe drinking water in countries like Syria or more recently the earthquake-hit Turkey by making filtration units that they send out in groups of twelve.

With most of these pumps manufactured on site, they use a mass number of micro straws to filter unsafe drinking water to a healthy standard to be used for hygiene or consumption.

Alongside this Aquabox also sends out something called a ‘Gold Box’ which includes other important items often taken for granted by people in the UK that might help with rebuilding or even entertainment.

These include but are not limited to:
Tools
Cutlery and dinnerware
Tarpaulin
Ponchos
Children’s toys
Towels

According to the World Heath Organisation (WHO), approximately 2.2 billion people lack access to safe drinking water, which can lead to waterborne illnesses and even death.

A lack of access to clean water for drinking not only affects health and hygiene but can inhibit someone from important education or earning an income.
"We are proud to partner with Aquabox to help bring clean water to communities in need," said Robin.

"As a provider of essential utilities, we recognize the importance of safe water and the impact it can have on people's lives. We are committed to supporting Aquabox's mission to provide water filtration systems to communities affected by disaster, conflict, and poverty."
The partnership between Pivotal Energy and Aquabox is an important step towards providing access to safe drinking water for deprived or disaster struck areas of the planet.

By working together, these organizations can make a significant impact on the lives of people in need.

If you are able to help, please join our mission and help bring clean water to communities who deserve it.

Together, we hope to make a lasting impact on the world and improve the lives of people affected by water scarcity.

We are looking forward to a long lasting partnership.
