Celebrating National Apprenticeship Week 2024!

Pivotal are celebrating National Apprenticeship Week 2024! 

 

Back in April 2023, the business was introduced to Tommy Foster. 

 

Tommy has autism and his story highlights the positive impact of diversity in the workplace. 

 

Tommy impressed us instantly, arriving for his interview very smartly dressed, and armed with lots of questions about the business and industry. 

 

Recognising and embracing Tommy’s autism has been very rewarding not only for Tommy who has grown immensely in confidence, but also for Tommy’s colleagues who adore him. 

 

He has a big personality and is extremely funny. 

 

Tommy has learned an awful lot since joining us and is an essential part of the team. He works really hard and is committed to his role. 

 

The construction industry in particular witnesses over 30,000 apprenticeship starts annually, demonstrating a commitment to skill development and industry growth. 

 

A massive 80% of employers acknowledge that apprentices significantly contribute to enhancing their business operations. 

 

Tommy's inspiring journey serves as a testament to the positive impact of inclusive workplaces across all industries. 

 

His efforts don't go unnoticed, including being a volunteer as part of our Green Team! 

 

We are extremely proud of Tommy. It is exciting to see where his journey will lead, and we’re all looking forward to watching him grow and succeed!
